>In physics, the graviton is a hypothetical elementary particle that mediates the force of gravitation in the framework of quantum field theory. If it exists, the graviton is expected to be massless and must be a spin-2 boson.

I listen to StarTalk Radio weekly, it's pretty good. Neil Tyson hosts with random comedian co-hosts.

As I can clearly see you are in idiot in regards to this topic:

Plz explain the standard model of particle physics. What are all these things? If it's not too much to ask, I'd like to understand what articles about CERN are talking about

I'm teaching myself calculus by watching MIT opencourseware and khan academy. Is there any place online to get a bunch of practice material for each topic with solutions while I chug along?

How about a book, If I can't get it online, whats your favorite textbook?

Seems like you've covered Dawkins' thoughts in your studies. Start thinking big picture, and give your teacher some arguments formed out of these ideas.

>Are you religious? , If so why? if not why?

No.

We are a self-replicating molecule, competing with our own progeny for replication resources. We are floating around on a speck of dust in the cosmos that will likely be destroyed by simply bumping in to another speck of dust, whatever it may be.

Apparently, living, moving, thinking matter is a consequence of circumstance and the laws of nature, nothing more.

If the chemical signals in your brain are telling you that you are FEELING an emotional connection to a sky wizard, and you believe those signals without looking deeper at the cause of them, then that's your prerogative.

I think the true story of nature is much more interesting. I don't understand people who don't.

What's the best telescope for a beginner?

Beginner being a scientist that knows how to learn, not an idiot.

~500 dollar budget, or more, depends. I don't want to be replacing it in a year, and I'd like to get in to astrophotography eventually.

Whats the best telescope for a beginner?

When I say beginner, I mean a scientist that knows how to learn and wants to pick up the astronomy hobby, not an idiot. I only clarify, because in a google search for "best beginner telescope" I only find shit for kids/tards.

Budget's about 500 bucks, could be more, I don't know. I don't want to buy something to replace in a year kind of a deal. Thinking astrophotography might be the direction I want to go.
