>So why haven't Aliens (if they exist) done that yet?

well there are tons of problems with that statement. its really not a good way to question the existence of aliens.

first of all you are assuming that we know everything that exists in our solar system. we're not very good at finding anything in the solar system, especially any object any smaller than huge planets and moons. even if there was some alien instrument flying around in our solar system, we probably can't find it even if we tried to.

second you are assuming that there are a lot of intelligent aliens close to us, who know that we exist, and are desperate to find us.
there is no way that aliens could have seen any life on earth. the only thing you could possibly see if you were looking at our solar system from other stars would be the sun (maybe neptune as a tiny faint dot). you might be able to find earth with heavy calculations, but it would appear literally invisible. now aliens COULD have received radio signals from us, but that would have had to happen within the past 100 years, and they would have to had to be at the very furthest 100 lightyears away from us. take a look at this picture for reference to how far that is. (they would be like our neighbour). now thats only if our radio signals were strong enough to reach that far (most likely not).
even if aliens tried to send something back to us, it would've had to be about 50 years ago for us to get it now.
i could keep going on about this, but i think that should be enough

pic related

in case you didn't know, radio waves are just light, and light is a fundamental speed limit in our universe, so the little black box you see in my pic is the furthest anything could have possibly travelled from Earth since we started using radio waves for communication.

What makes you think harvesting energy from the center of the galaxy would be plausible? By the time you get the first wave of energy sent back to you humanity will probably have ascended

For some reason I've seen some people on here that think there are no aliens in the entire universe (or galaxy).

So I'm going to go ahead and prove it to you with some logic.

AT this moment in time, as far as we know every single planet that has liquid flowing H2O oceans has life, and intelligent life. Now wait, THE SAMPLE SIZE IS TOO SMALL WAH WAH WAH! NO, shut up. stop. Realistically, it wont be 100%, but as far as we know, right now it is. It's probably a lot less though.

Now let's take a look at how life is formed. You need liquid water (as far we know, perhaps some other liquids could work) and a good temperature, then you need carbons, irons and other elements. (See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron-sulfur_world_theory ) Now after a few million years of lightning striking the water, primordial soups are created, which eventually turn into life.

So now that we've recently found that every single star has on average at least one planet there is around 100 million planets in this galaxy alone that are almost identical to Earth.

How long until we make contact? Either physically from one of their probes or ships coming to our solar system or from a stray narrowband signal sent at the right time?

What should we do to try and prove to other races that there is life in the universe, we've already sent out the pioneer plaqs and the voyager golden record, which is a great step, but what else?

This would be the most amazing moment in human history, but when will it occur? In a few years? A few hundred? A million?

How will it happen? One of the few rare races that conquered FTL travel visiting us in ships personally? A stray probe? (Like our voyager/pioneer probes drifting away) Viewing lights on an exoplanet using the James Webb space telescope? Picking up a stray radiosignal from close enough to actually be read?

What do you guys think?

Holy shit you are fucking stupid.

Are you the angry simian guy?
Dyson Sphere sites have already been confirmed in our galaxy alone, cited by the goverment. ( See: http://home.fnal.gov/~carrigan/infrared_astronomy/Fermilab_search.htm )

No one cares because It's "stupid".

See this as well: http://www.tgdaily.com/space-features/60744-almost-all-milky-way-stars-have-planets

Here's why we haven't "seen" any evidence.

You cannot travel faster then the speed of light.

You are fucking stupid, come up with your own sources and citations and explain how my sources are wrong or I am correct.

ALSO

If radiowaves somehow NEVER deteriorated (They become in-comprehensible background noise after only 5 LY) we would "see" or "hear" evidence every fucking where.

You can logically derive that we're not alone using only our position in the milky way. Fuck the psuedo intellectuals on this board are just FUCKIGN STUPID FUCKKKKKK YES I AM MAD BECAUSE YOURE TROLLING OR YOURE BELOW 90 IQ FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK

You realize that the most powerful signals we can send degrade into incomprehensible background mush after around 7 light years?

How stupid are you?

How the fuck are we going to explore the universe? Right now we can only do about 1% of c if we really put our minds too it, what other possible ways could we get to 99.9%? Theoretically, it's more then possible. But it would be extremely challenging, imagine traveling at that speed, a minuscule particle hitting the ship would have the force of a high explosive artillery shell.

Also, how could we do FTL travel? Is there any way? Any theoretical ways? Or is there just no possible way unless we discover something completely new?

you're making 2 assumptions:
- they use the electromagnetic spectrum as a form of information trafficking (as we do)
- if they do use the same method as we, they have to have used a wave which can penetrate interstellar medium (such as radio waves)

then you made assumptions based on those assumptions:
- the waves had enough time to reach us
- we detected those waves before the civilization became eradicated

see pic (unsure of its credibility/accuracy, but it gives you an idea). we've been (unknowingly) transmitting these signals into the cosmos for over 100 years and this is the product.
