The actual answer is epistemology and scientific method. Without those Europeans would still be using psuedo mysticism logic that was prevalent everywhere else. It's has little to do with raw intelligence because just as you stated Asians had the advantage in that area.

Think about it, what exactly can you do with high intelligence if the thought processes (logic) you are working with is fundamentally faulty? Everybody here seems to be in love with muh IQ (probably because they're unproductive losers with nothing else going for them) but at the end of the day different thought processes dictates how one views the world and it's interactions.

If your thought process of the world is driven by the divine (doesn't matter which religion it is) you will rarely challenge various interactions between animals or the environment. Simply because you would view it as the will of a higher power and then design around that specific view point. That's what the ancient Chinese did when they developed IChing, their architecture and medical acupuncture. All three had good elements to them (binary code, structural symmetry and anatomical mapping) but the fundamental logic underlying it was faulty. Thus why all three are nothing more than cultural ornaments to spectate over today.

Because there are more qualified candidates than job slots. Especially when you consider the higher paying jobs. So protocols are created to filter out as many as possible before interviews while during interviews compentacy tests are done with tools typical for the job. Then after that any extra qualifications that help assure the candidates work ethic is used.

College degrees are a filter.
U.S. veteran status is a filter.
Background checks are a filter.
Security Clearances is a filter.
Technical Certifications are a filter.

And obviously previous relevant job experience is a filter too. Everything is done to reduce the head count.

The absolute amount of cope in this thread.

Face it, PhDs-that-now-regret-it (or as I like to call them, cucks), you would have fared EVEN WORSE with just a bachelors degree. Instead of living /comfy/ for a few years, you would have lived in squalor, at home, with your parents, and they would have lost all respect for you for either not working or working chump change job. Your friends would have deserted you.

Do you know how much the average bachelor's job page in the sciences? in the $30,000 range, and they'll tell you that you should be grateful for the job. Do not fall for the "no PhD" meme. If you fell for undergraduate education, the only possible way it could pay off is to go all out. Otherwise, don't bother. Don't bother going to college at all. Just take up a trade or get a CDL and start trucking. Everyone has an undergrad degree now. They aren't worth shit. They don't open doors. It's "so what". The only possible utility of college over any conventional trade lies in its status as being an essential requirement for graduate-level. Go big or go home. Why would you waste 4 years of your life only to go on to work a mediocre job with at best average earning prospects? Literally pointless. Might as well just stay home and just collect disability, food stamps and do absolutely nothing.

Tourist here, come from /fit/ and shitpost on /v/

What would happen if you put a live human in space? I always get different answers
>you would explode because there would be no outside pressure to keep the gasses in your body from expanding
>you would freeze in the absolute zero of space
>you would burn from being exposed to the sun's heat without protection
Like seriously what in fuck
