Hello,

For those of you within the professional field of Biology, whats the take on being certified in things?

I'm about to finish up my B.S in Bio and Ive been thinking about going into histology. I did some research and I find a lot of good programs but they're all certifications. Are there any bad connotations of having certifications rather than actual degrees? I havent been able to find a place that does a Histology M.S or anything of that caliber.

They're pretty smart by animal standards but I don't see them doing complex math or anything.
