A lot of what I'm referring to can be seen on this board, for instance. Actually, I think this posting has slowed down a good bit on sci, because I think the trannies and plebbitors got tired of based chuds like myself calling out their faggotry. I don't usually see woke leftists getting mad at the researchers involved, nor are the personally offended. It's more like they don't want to talk about the issue, and they think anyone discussing the replication crisis has some sort of ulterior political motive. Usually, the assumption seems to be that people bringing up the replication crisis are trying to promote science denial, conspiracy theories, or some sort of anti-western political ideology or something like that. Like the only reason someone would even be interested in these new stories is because they're a climate change denier or anti-vaxxer or something like that.

Lol this thread is filled with shitlibs and pro-censorship normies.

If muh """content moderation""" is so wonderful, and 4chan is such a shithole, then why don't you faggot and faggot-allies use one of the many other normie tier social media sites that supposedly has great content moderation, and deep, profound, intellectually stimulating discourse?

If their are so many chuds on 4chan and the chuds keep hurting your feelings, then why not find another site where the chuds can't bother you? I don't think constantly interacting with le 4chan chuds is a productive way to spend your time if you find it so emotionally exhausting and traumatizing. Try to find a corner of the internet without any chuds and a whole ton of faggots. It should be a difficult task, and most of you will be pleased with the result.

That's why the most important thing to include in one of these so-called "academic statements", is actually a catalog of all your social relationships within the world of academia. Name dropping a list of previous advisors, employers, collaborators, etc. will do far more to make your academic statement appealing to the admissions committee than anything you might actually include about your academic interests or ideas or what you have studied and would like to study. In fact, these are almost irrelevant, and if you talk to a professor or someone else who knows what they're talking about, it is likely they will explicitly tell you not to focus too much on your "interests" when writing one of these statements, since admissions committees are not interested in vague and wishy-washy concepts like you "interests" or passion, or even explicit ideas or research subject that you might be interested in.

If you really want to get into a top grad program, don't spend your high school and college studying for the SAT and GRE and doing research and getting good grades. A much better way to allocate your time and resources if you want to get into a top grad program would be to make as many friends at your local country club or make a big donation to your favorite university or NPR station (or better yet, have your parents do so). That's how most midwit yuppies end up getting into these big name universities.
