I'm writing an informative speech about "Someone who inspires me" for a class. I was debating between Brian Greene and Carl Sagan, I ended up choosing Carl Sagan because theres just a lot more out there about him for me to work with. So could anyone give me some interesting facts and information to fluff up my speech about Mr. Sagan with? Would appreciate it. I've got a lot written out but I need a bit more to reach my minimum time to give the speech.

The full quote is actually “If you want to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first create the universe.”

The "from scratch" part demonstrates the key meaning, although the statement sort of still works in an implied sense without it.
