This doesn't make any sense. If the super nova remnant is 26 thousand light years away from earth. By the time we observe the super nova, it would be at least 26 thousand years old. Why does the reporter say 1 thousand years old?

I'm a bachelor in econ and was wondering if I should pursue a masters/PhD in economics or if I should go straight to finance?

Hey guys, I'm looking to study some math on my own. Now I checked the sticky, but I'm not quite sure where I'm at in regards to my current knowledge (which I will have to revise) and what to study next. So I thought I'd list my hs courses and you can tell me what I should get into next. Each line of text is one course.

1. Functions and equations
2. Polynomial functions
3. Geometry
4. Analytical geometry
5. Vectors
6. Probability and Statistics
7. Derivative
8. Root and logarithmic functions
9. Trigonometric functions and sequences
10. Infinitesimal calculus
11. Number theory and logic

I understand that maths is not a straight line and you can't just tell me what my next stop is, but I do assume there are advanced and less advanced topics and since I don't know the field as whole it's hard for me to know and choose myself.
