I need /sci/ advice or guidance. Here's the deal, I'm going to comp sci college (just got accepted, free in Eu) after wagecucking for 3-4 years, since I had no idea what I wanted to do after high school (went to mechanical engineering oriented hs, so I had mechanic/engineering classes for 3 years straight).

Now I'm not so sure what to focus on during college, I feel like I got a second chance in life and want to make the best of college (build network, connections and learn/work on stuff).

What should I mainly focus on? I'm interested in PLC programming (work in industrial factory) and it seems as a comfy job, on other hand I'm learning to trade and am already trading on my own doing well (forex, stocks, commodities,..) and gained a lot of interest into writing trading bots and just custom programs that notify me when certain indicators reach certain values.

I'm not trying to become a quant, but it would be pretty damn interesting to try and work in this direction during college (extract data, build modules upon extracted data and with machine learning figure out what the optimal strategy would be), since I would get a lot of experience with working on projects and I will have a lot of time and energy on my hands (gonna stop working and focus on school only).

So what would you do? The company I'm working at currently, will probably offer me to get some experience with PLC programming, on the other hand I want to work on finance based projects.

What would you do/advise me to focus on? I know there will be more and more demand with automatic optimization of machines in industrial industry (where I worked for almost year and a half now and have quite some experience with how things are run, etc..).. on other hand, I want to do something more dynamic and figure out optimal strategies for whatever the fuck I will work on.

So, what would you do or how would you balance study/work?

/sci/ serious question, how do I enhance my brain strength?

Here's a quick rundown, was kind of a smart kid, did good in school and had insane imagination. During high school mostly played vidya to compensate for not knowing what the fuck I wanted to do in life and lost a lot of my potential, after high school totally fucked up and was consumed with depression for few years, now going back to college, but I feel like my brains aren't fucking working.

So, what I did was try out adderal and ritalin, which helped tremendously and I can really focus and learn insane amount for longer periods of time like a normal human being. However, I've got tolerant of them and don't want to get depended on them.

What do I do now? I quite smoking cigs, train, eat healthy and minimized social media, since it's complete distraction and I think of fb for now fucking reason and check it.

Now it's been 2 weeks since I quit everything and study at least 3-4 hours per day and I feel like I actually am getting better and better, while having better sleep and just enjoying life overall a lot more. But how do I fucking push it in college? I wanna study 8 hours per day minimum since I won't be working anymore and can focus on studies only and working on projects (comp sci).
