Why is biochemistry pure memorization and assays so simple compared to organic synthesis which is rarely straightforward and always mentally challenging?

Why do people still go into biochemistry instead of natural chemistry and learn biology in their free time? It is all memorization and cartoons and not hard anyway.

I thought I would give a basic outline for how you should take early mathematical or technical notes, for those of you who will be going into your first semester at whichever university this Fall.

Keep in mind that everyone has a different system (I'm sure you already have your own), but adopting some of my style may help to flesh-out your notes and make a semester's worth of material much more digestable in, say, 5 hours the night before your final. Without further ado:

Continue in this fashion; I recommend the addition of a brief Conclusion section at the end of your notes. You should tailor this to any questions or significant points that stuck in your memory during the lecture. Other data is empirically extraneous (from your subliminal mind's POV, so it makes sense to write down what struck you most). Using a contextually rich conclusion this way, you will have an easier time reviewing.
