>Avio misplaces (and destroys) critical upper stage tanks needed for last Vega mission (the production line for these tanks has already been shut down).
>Stratolaunch is preparing to launch a hypersonic missile simulator for the military.
>South Korea launches satellite on solid rocket, in competition with Best Korea.
>Iran launches animals on Salman solid rocket to an altitude of 80 miles, declares it wants to put astronauts into orbit by 2029.
Medium Rockets
>Amazon purchases three falcon 9 flights from spacex, it's future competitor, for it's kuiper satellite constellation.
>SpaceX plans to increase launch rate from Vandenberg, moving from 30 flights this year to a goal of 100 from the base in 2025. It is also hoping to re-certify falcon 9 first stages for up to 30 flights per booster.
Heavy Rockets
>NASA & SpaceX are contemplating whether to attempt a cryogenic propellant transfer in space during the next starship test. This will be done within the vehicle.
>Space Shuttle endeavour and it's tank+boosters is being vertically stacked for display at the california space center.
>ESA published a call for ideas on the development of a new engine with 250 tonnes of thrust. It may be that the agency believes that the next gen Prometheus engine's goal of 100 tonnes won't be sufficient for the next gen of European rockets.
