>saying there's no life in outer space is like saying there's no life in the ocean because you didn't see any in a drop of seawater
Someone on my Facebook awhile back posted a picture with Neil Degrasse Tyson and a quote along these lines. I proceeded to say that it's not the same because we've observed life in the ocean, and that the scientific standpoint on ET life is that it hasn't been observed, therefore we don't know if it exists yet. Hell, I even said that I thought ET life probably exists, but that there wasn't any proof yet, which means I can't definitively say that I know it exists. He still didn't get it, and I gave up.

The mold of popsci-loving rick and morty-watching pot-smokers was cast in this guy's image. Totally insufferable.

If you're great with algebra you should be great at calculus I, II, because everything is just a simple concept interspersed with algebraic manipulation. What do you even mean "great with algebra"? What does that entail?

The problem with stuff like IFLS isn't it being factually incorrect.

basically this. in all seriousness, business majors at my school are retards that can barely pass a pre-calculus class.. but then go on to make loads of money in consulting when they graduate. it's just a reflection of what our society values, and it's kind of sad. also in response to OP's shitpost, genuine autists don't tend to graduate or be successful by and large.
