I thought about it,

If an extraterrestrial species is developed enough to begin traveling functional distances in the universe, its likely you've already figured out how to alter time and space, or in other words, "create spaces in-between spaces" , warp gates to dimensional realities, imagine something like a stealth planet except it exists outside the tangible universe in an artificially created dimension blocked by security protocols.

There is also the other conspicuously missing, but fairly obvious argument (at least to me) that a damn advanced extraterrestrial race wouldn't be stupid enough to primarily live on the surface of a planet ya dolt, obviously they would prefer to settle inside planets and other objects in the universe to protect themselves from the elements and potential threats or strangers. Consider this argument as well with the former.
