Similar for me.

Fortunately, my boarding HS didn't accept all that many mainland Chinese. Most of our Asians were Japanese or Taiwanese with a few Koreans. Tons of wealthy Central and South Americans, a nice handful of Europeans (mostly Western Europe), a healthy Arab contingent, and some wealthy Africans rounded things out.

I find it amusing that such an expensive and exclusive school was more diverse than almost any conceivable public school.

My first BS (biochemistry) was loaded with Koreans, Chinese, and Indians all looking to get into medicine.

My current program (2nd BS in nuclear engineering) is loaded with Chinese and Indians.

My opinions:
>The Chinese-Americans are great
>The Taiwanese are great
>The Northern Indians are total bros
>The "ABCD"'s are total bros
>The Koreans can be tolerable to outright fun once they start socializing outside of their Korean only clique
>Arabs are awesome. They drink like no other and can have a delicious misogynistic streak.
>South and Central Americans are laid back people that know how to enjoy life. Total bros.

>The mainland Chinese are largely intolerable.
>South Indians that still have the whole caste thing stuck in their heads are absolute nightmares with which to work.

Just my $0.02

[ERROR]

I isolate a functional ARS from budding yeast and clone it into a mouse
vector. Transformation with this construct causes integration of the yeast origin into one of the
mouse chromosomes. I then use 3H-thymidine and ARS-specific probes to follow origin firing
and DNA replication from the introduced yeast ARS during cell division in the mouse.
However, I find that the yeast origin doesn't fire, the d--- thing doesn't work! What is the
molecular basis for this result?
