Why is it that when a kid does extremely well at a school subject, it's always math?

If I jumped off a 100 story building and there was a long series of large heavy desks falling with a short uniform distance apart between them could I grab onto one and jump therefore cancelling out some of the force and then do that again and again to survive the fall

Couple weeks into pre-pre-algebra now, doing well, already past addition and beyond. subtraction was a joke. multiplication remains my specialty.

I ask my professor his thoughts on fractions and Quadrilaterals. He's impressed i know about the subject. We converse after class for some time, sharing mathematical insights; i can keep up. He tells me of great things ahead like Variables and Trigonometry . I tell him i already read about triangles on wikipedia. He is yet again impressed at my enthusiasm. What a joy it is to have your professor visibly brighten when he learns of your talents.

And now I sit here wondering what it must be like to be a brainlet, unable to engage your professor as an intellectual peer.

All of the deep conversations you people must miss out on because you aren't able to overcome the intellectual IQ barrier that stands in the way of your academic success... it's so sad.

My professor and I know each other on first name basis now, but i call him Dr. out of respect.

And yet here you brainlets sit, probably havent even made eye contact with yours out of fear that they will gauge your brainlet IQ levels.

A true shame, but just know it is because i was born special that i am special. I can't help being a genius, nor can my professor.

Two of a kind is two flocks in a bush.

I've fucking graduated. Four years of autism, no gf, misery, and alcohol, and I now have a diploma in math and computer science, thusly certifying my inability to talk to girls at the benefit of being able to prove basic undergrad math theorems and program in Java and Lisp. Feels good man.

Electronic/computer engineering is THE god tier degree. I've grouped them together because there's a lot of overlap.

>Ridiculous amount of job opportunities, be it software or hardware
>one of the most future proof degrees you can get
>can realistically get jobs as an electrical engineer, a software engineer, a computer engineer or an electronic engineer, massive room to move around within the industry
>constantly new technologies emerging, always room to learn more about your field, if you genuinely enjoy your work this is a great thing
>teaches the most abstract math of all engineering majors, meaning a high GPA in ECE is probably one of the best indicators of natural intelligence (abstract reasoning is seen as the most innate measure of natural intelligence, intelligence that cannot be taught if you will)
>while it deals with abstract math, it still has a very practical application, making it very practical in terms of employment, more so than math and physics
>the most occupationally mobile of the engineering degrees, without question. everything these days involves electronics or coding of some sort. the software side in particular is booming at the moment, you can realistically compete with computer science grads for the elite software engineer jobs at google / facebook (if you're a top student and youspend a few months reading CTC and the likes)
>the most suitable engineering degree for other career paths such as patent law and technical sales

I did a lot of research before choosing my career path. As of right now I want to work as a quant trader. I was strongly considering finance before I ultimately went with ECE. I'm glad I did, it's very difficult if you want the top grades (4.0 GPAs are much much rarer in europe) but it's well worth it. I love the challenge and I know a finance degree wouldn't challenge me intellectually.

Can anyone help a brainlet?

(a) Prove that the following is a valid deduction rule:
P → Q
Q → R
∴ P → R

(b) Prove that the following is a valid deduction rule for any n ≥ 2:
P1 → P2
P2 → P3
.
.
.
Pn−1 → Pn
∴ P1 → Pn.
"I suggest you don’t go through the trouble of writing out a 2^n
row truth table.
Instead, you should use part (a) and mathematical induction."

Can anyone help with part b. I got part a

What are some of your /sci/ related feels good experiences? I'll start.

>Someone posts thread relating to psychology.

And

>Meet psychologist for work related excusion
>She refers to herself as Dr. 'lastname'
>Refer to her as Ms. 'lastname' each chance I get
>Hold the door open for her on the way out and let her go first.
Feels good man :^)

>was told the "world would be my oyster" if I studied physics
>graduate with a physics degree from an ivy league in 2015 with honors
>apply to 100s of places
>get rejected from all of them
>then realize every single job requires programming skills
>mfw a programming course was never offered or encouraged when I was studying physics
>need 2+ years experience in everything else if I have no programming skills
>mfw no decent work experience
>need to have good networking skills to get a job if you have no experience
>mfw never made any friends at university as I only studied
>only jobs suitable at my level of "experience" are call centre and data entry jobs
>mfw don't even have sales experience to get call centres jobs

i guess I should just kys t b h. society would be better off with less mouths to feed anyway

What's the better degree for jobs: Chemistry or Biochemistry? I'm not looking for mountains of money, I just want a degree that I love with an income that I can live comfortably on. I do not live in the United States (Ireland here) so I don't have to worry about tons of debt.

I do prefer Chemistry to Biochemistry, but on the off chance that I don't get my Chemistry course, is Biochemistry good for jobs? Please no memesters.

The majority of you are also kissless virgins, so not only are most of you delusionally arrogant, but you're incredibly insecure too. The truth stings regardless of how it's delivered.

Hi anon, I'm in the that boat. I never failed maths in school, I never studied maths to be able to actually fail it. It's completely possible to learn maths up to a university level through the Khan academy, considering Sal Khan has a masters in EE and CS from MIT and teaches up to that level.

If you had my life circumstances, you probably would have thrown yourself off a bridge.
