Third year electric engineering student here. Didn't get an internship this year because I was too lazy and my GPA isnt too hot right now. I figured I should do something useful this summer and came across the idea of getting some certs since I figured they would look good on the resume. Did some looking around and Comp TIA Security+ seems like the most useful a beginner can get for decently cheap. I know close to nothing about cybersecurity though, but I have all summer to study. I was told that the A+ security cert was kinda useless compared to this one. Would /sci/ happen to have any pointers or learning resources? I've been told that they expect me to have some prior networking knowledge like ports and stuff which I dont so resources for those would be appreciated too
