In C++ there will be an implicit cast when passing a variable of type B into a function that accepts type A if type A has a copy constructor that accepts type B. I didn't know this and I have been programming C++ since 2002. I am sure sci is filled with gurus ready to share that time they realized they should have studied harder.

Hey sci, need a hand with a project for my circuits class

I am building a circuit that will, in the end, convert the 120V AC from a wall outlet into 18V DC, and I have all the components I need, save one. I need a way to bring the 120V AC into my circuit, and I'm not sure how to go about it.

My professor advised that I need what is commonly known as a "suicide plug", and I get the general idea, but I need either a good way to create one (Which, by the name alone sounds dangerous) or a place where I could purchase one.

Any electronics people have advice/help?
