If dark matter/energy makes up 80% of the universe, why haven't we found any yet? What makes it different from normal matter/energy?

Okay, okay, okay, what if
what if we're already in it? Or in a virtual reality WITHIN a virtual reality? And what if the new virtual reality recurses us back to the original reality?

Lets talk about Dark-Matter for a moment. In my opinion this is the most obtuse and self-righteous idea EVER to have come out of a physicists mouth, and be widely accepted.
Show me ONE, just ONE, reason that dark matter should exist other than faulty calculations. A false assumption at some stage of the theory has led the calculations a-stray, and this stubborn adherence to the dogma of established laws and rules, has yielded an absurd conclusion where an invisible, intangible and all pervasive substance is "obviously" wreaking havoc on the laws of physics. Bah!
Now you're doing math like a physicist!
Just as a devout person will see evidence for thier beief all around them, a physicist looking for the effect of "Dark-Matter" will undoubtedly find them. This can be compared to the "Luminiferous aether", which was striclty adhered to, and held firm, until it was catagorically disproved, by none other than one of it's strongest proponents.

I have only one more thing to say about "Dark-Matter":
Occams Razor. The hypothesis that makes the fewest new assumptions, when the other hypotheses are equal in other respects, is the generally the correct one.
In this case, our calculations are incorrect.

If anyone knows more on the subjuect, or would like to prove me wrong, I would love you to.
