This is very bizarre. We have had at least 3 of these statistics/econometrics threads lately. I would assume they are all the same person, however many of the questions share the same answer. Maybe they are all coming from the same class?

The thread is always posted with an image similar to OP's showing the question.

OP have you posted some other econometrics threads? We have had an unusual number of them recently. Pic related. It some econometrics I did for another homework question someone asked.

I know how to do it. Although these are a bitch. Whenever I faced problems like this in econometrics the answer always came about from just plugging the provided formulas and then deriving using the rules of summation.

If I were to take a crack at this that is the first thing I would do.

It was awful. Hardest thing I have ever done. Half the class dropped.

I feel like I was lucky to get through it, but now that its over with I wish I knew the subject better. I am going to get some software soon and do some regressions.
