My friend helped me to find a solution. The solution uses the formula for expanding the binomial in the numerator.

(a+b)3 = a3 + 3a2b + 3ab2 + b3

Here a = x^(1/3) and b = x^(1/4). After a lot of work I ended up with 1/2, which seems correct.
