For years I have considered flash cards to be an effective study method and can typically expect to have 100-200 flash cards for a single subject by the time I've completed a course, but I realize not everyone does this, and in fact, most don't.... however, I noticed of those who do, most are high achievers (not commenting on their IQ here - just level of education).

Do you use flash cards? If yes, do you consider it integral to your learning? How well do you feel you know a subject by the end of a book or typical course? What is/was your GPA?

If no, what is/was your GPA? What study method did you use?

I'm an EE and while I couldn't use it in some of my more analytical classes, I found it invaluable in CS, chem, and some of the more novel subsets of math (like stats and probability theory)
