Imagine a rope spanning a billion light years and a person at each end of the rope. Person A tugs on the rope in Morse code to send a message to Person B. Are they communicating faster than light?

Dumbass here, I don't even know where to start on the proof. It seems intuitively obvious but for some reason I just can't figure out how to go about it.

Let a1 ,a2, ...be a sequence of nonzero real numbers, such that lim (n→∞) a_n = L. Suppose further that L =/= 0.
Prove that lim 1/(a_n) = 1/L.
