The bronies obviously have very pronounced Oedipus complex(s). This would explain their sexual attraction to the characters (one or more of the ponies remind them of their mother) and the complete disregard for the colts (who remind them of their fathers.)

So really this is more of a psychological issue than anything else.

Explain to me why psychology is so frowned upon here. I actually find the human mind vastly interesting, and plus it's fun to manipulate people.

What type of Jobs can one acquire with a bachelor of science majoring in psychology. In Australia you can't do clinical work until you have your masters or PHD. Just wondering what jobs I could get with just a science degree.

I have a theory:
I think the fact that many white people are now choosing to not have kids is a subconscious manifestation of fear and depression.
The fear is due to the fact that for a long time they were used to be the ruling class and now feel they are losing the grip over the other races and are afraid that they might bring a child to an uncertain and chaotic future which they have no control over.

Are there any decent documentaries on psychology ? Mainly looking for cognitive psychology , but even a doco on the history of psychology would be great. Thanks guys.

When did you first think you might be different? Have you ever had any female friends?
Are you very close to your father? brother?
Maybe even too close?
Did you ever feel yourself examining their bodies? In a sexual nature? How old were you?

So /sci/ I was just accepted into my local university for psychology. What can I expect in my first year ? I've already watched a few psych videos on some of the basics, any other psych students here ?

I would say that it's combinations of environmental factors, nurturing, innate chemical imbalances and other events which have triggered this specified attraction. While many may believe that their sexual attraction to the transgendered is genuine, I believe many are still heterosexual. One may engage in homosexual acts, but that does not mean he is a homosexual.
