lets make the immortality gene inhibitor or vaccine
a baby could do it we could do it all theoretically right here if we find someone who knows about chromosomes

if done incorrectly we will repeatedly get cancer from uncontrolled cell reproduction

we have sets of genes and either one, or some of them are responsible for our inability to heal. do we have compatibility with those immortal starfish genes? is there a chromosome or kinase in particular which prevents organs like the brain from healing while the liver can regenerate from 1/3 of its original mass? Have you heard of GSK3 beta inhibitors regrowing teeth?

if we take apart the chromosomes from a big enough and diverse enough sample of the applicable lobsters and starfish and match pictures then do the same with humans and match pictures we can find the right genes or genetic code.

all we need to determine is which genes(s) the starfish and lobsters that can live indefinitely and heal organs always share if there is any deviation or multiple genes that will do it, check for those genes in humans and see which genes stop humans from healing or check to see if theyre compatible in humans without the last bit of akira happening.
or determine which processes in human chromosomes will make stuff in the body preventing it from hearing itself and create something to poison them or prevent them from regenerating like GSK3 beta inhibitors do to GSK3 beta.

how much deviation is there in 1000 sets of chromosomes to make one animal in a single species? are there any which are 100% consistent? which information is stored in which pairs of chromosomes?

using this would we need to inhibit chemicals? or genes? or chromosomes? making the subject inviable for sexual reproduction but still able to be cloned and if male cloned in to both genders. or would we need to add chromosomes chemicals or genes?
