/sci/ does an incredibly large amount of traffic in immortality and "life extension" threads, both topics seem irrationally and unrealistically optimistic in light of the observed reality of life expectancy currently. It is dropping and doing so very quickly, at the rate things are going it will reach 50 at about the same time zoomers do.
Why is this happening and what if anything can be done to stop the rapid decline in life expectancy?
