THIS... this is why the educational system in America keeps changing... they are convinced that somehow the education system is failing Black students because the other races all seem to be doing OK so they keep changing the way they teach.

Common core exist to try and remove the differences in scores between races, ethnic groups, wealth and sexes.

IT was NOT chosen to be the BEST teaching method, THAT is a secondary goal, but instead the main goal is equalizing the results.

Common core is pushed heavily by the federal government to all school sin USA. Common core's primary purpose is to try and eliminate racial differences in standardized testing. NOT to teach the best way possible but to dumb down things so much that the best achieving students are bored and ignore the work lowering their grade and slow enough that even the dimmest student learns something. The total amount of material learned is greatly decreased, but the racial scores ARE more equalized.

The solution is return to the old way of teaching that encourages the best and segregates out the slowest for separate slower education

Common Core's ONE main idea is to figure out a way to remove racial differences in Academic performance. It is NOT to educate the best way possible, liberal progressives ARE willing to have the ENTIRE population's average Academic score decease, provided racial differences disappear.

The whole idea of a standardized test is to judge everyone equally, everyone gets the same questions and has the same time to answer them.
There are no "white" questions of "black" questions or "male" questions or "female" questions. Math is math, and history dates are fixed, and biology exams are same for everyone.

In America we have the "No Child left behind" idea. This means that schools and teachers are penalized for failing students. To fix this they are teaching the SIMPLEST way possible to do math. NOT the fastest or best, but the easiest. In America we teach to the dumbest slowest students. There is NO incentive to create many brilliant student only incentives to NOT produce a failing student.
