Because it's rooted in MATERIALISM. The belief of indivisible, QUANTIFIABLE "bits" "particulates" what have to that compose the underlying structures of the universe. That is literally the "Quantum" part of "Quantum (thing/word that is actually definable)" or whatever word you want to stick "quantum" in front of. It's inherently materialism, you only look at the empirical/quantitative aspect and not what unifies them.

And it took how many years for atomists to figure this out? I hear they're still having difficulty putting together all the pieces of the puzzle they made up along the way. It doesn't help that they put so much faith in their pointless accurate descriptions.

No it still works on polarization like every other device on the planet that uses electricity. Only in this case a magical unreified "particle" represented as "bloch sphere" is your polarized medium. It no different than any other computer, only despite being able to produce 1's and 0's simultaneously and randomly.
Which basically makes it fucking useless for computer. You basically have to assume how it works and assume the output it produces, or just go along with the random output. Which is basically on par with this device here.
