Wrong assumption. Computer and robotic technology and continuously rocketing down in price. And how are we going to outsource the service industry? Ship Taiwanese maids to and fro to clean the rooms?

>Even a dyson sphere would only give us the output of a single star.
And then the other 100 billion stars in the Milky Way
And then the other 50 billion galaxies with up to 1 trillion stars

Mobile phones and some bits of microprocessor development

We require intelligent automation to create far more abundance and a huge drop in price of raw and manufactured goods, and we'll start seeing some serious shit. And 3D printers with the capability of printing in hard metals like steel and aluminium have been recently developed, so that can only help.

So yeah, robots = lots of obedient miners = price drops = easier and far cheaper DIY innovation
