if A and B are given sets,

how does A U B = B?

Makes no sense to me.

What course was it? CHEM 6B: Thermodynamics and Equilibria
What material was tested? Some basics of entropy, enthalpy, ideal gases... easy shit.
What score did you receive? 68%
Why did you score so badly? I HAVE NO FUCKING CLUE. I went over every problem like twice after I'd finished, made
sure everything was all right, everything checked out except like 1 or 2 problems I couldn't get, and I turned it in fully
satisfied that I was going to get at least 80%.
How did it make you feel? Confused. I have no clue what I did wrong, and my professor refuses to post answers to the
midterm.
Did you study for the test? You bet I did. Read the whole chapter and did exercises and problems the 3 days preceding
the test.
Did you improve in the class since? It was just last week, so we'll have to see.
