Did an event which has no witnesses and leaves no trace really happen or not? I am genuinely interested in your opinions.

What the fuck is isospin? I don't get it. Why should everything remain invariant when you arbitrarily replace protons and neutrons? It's not the same. They're different particles ffs.

Huh. Never would have thought. Is it really that hard?

Thought it'd be lower. Everyone pushed CS so fuckin' much, I'm fairly certain that'll decline in the next ten years.

Is there any value in understanding scientific concepts if you are incapable of understanding the math which supports them?

I'm kind of at a cross-roads, and really admire various sciences, but i currently feel unable to commit the time and energy into going into a lot of it with any degree of depth, and am unable to afford schooling for the sake of pure interest...

Being able to execute a reaction. Being able to mechanically figure out how to turn reagents into a final product is useless if you don't know how to do it in the real world.

And try guessing who the next element is going to be named after.

I can't find out the answer to:

"100 grams of C2H2 reacts in one step with HCL and creates 120 grams of a product".

The theoretical dividend of this reaction is

A) 20 %
B) 50 %
C) 100%
D) 120%

How do I solve this piece of shit?

First I find nC2H2 by doing :
100g / 26mM = 3,84 moles

But it pretty much stops here.

I'm doing fairly well in chemistry, but there is one subject that I can never wrap my head around and fully understand.

It's under Electrochemistry and the subject of electrochemical series.

The standard " Will this reaction happen"

Example: Explain why we get a reaction when we put a Fe2+-nail in a solution of Cu(NO3), but we don't get a reaction if we put a copper-nail in a solution of FeSO4.

The book always talks about one being in reduced form and the other in a oxidized form, but shit doesn't make sense.

A drawing explaining this would be of tremendous help.

(02:15:44 PM) Jerko: there are 3 large galaxys and 33 little galaxies in our cluster
(02:16:05 PM) Jerko: do you read astralphysics and articles?
(02:16:20 PM) Jerko: solar systems form galaxies galaxies form clusters and clusters form something i forget what they are called
(02:16:28 PM) Jerko: and the entire universe is branches

For some reason, I cannot understand this problem:

An 18 karat gold necklace is 75% gold by mass, 16% silver, and 9.0% copper.

A. What is the mass, in grams of the necklace if it contains 0.24 oz of silver.

The correct answer is:

43g of 18-karat gold.

But I cannot wrap my head around how this was answered, please walk be through the steps.

Thanks for your help
