Interesting suggestion.
I'd like to present something, as well:
We call the set of transcedental numbers [math]T[/math]. Then, [math]\pi + e[/math] isn't transcedental if and only if [math] H_1 [ ( \mathbb{R} - \{ \pi+ e \} ) \cup T ] \cong \mathbb{Z}[/math].
This is a clearly stated topological version of the problem, and I hope a solution might come with further advances in algebraic topology.

Obviously not, you need at the absolute least extensive knowledge of differential topology, symplectic geometry, Lie groups, calculus of variations and torus actions on manifolds.

>I arrived to class fifteen minutes late
>that day we had a test
>the professor said that he'd still let me do it because I'm a smart kid
>the moment he handed me the test, our eyes met
>psh, nothing personnel kid
>I teleported behind him, and rested the test paper against his back
>he felt me writing proof after proof on his back, and he knew they were right, and he knew they were beautiful
>after finishing, I gave him my pen, gently held his hand, and helped him give me a ten
>as I left the class, I called out "have a good weekend, professor!"
>I could faintly hear the class clapping from behind the door

Assuming you weren't a wunderkind like Tao, the best strategy is probably immitating Feynman:
>make solid, relevant contributions to your field
>set up some drama like adulterous relations, stealing results
>also random stuff that has shitpost potential, like the IQ thing
>publish good expositional material
It's extremely hard, sure, but it's probably quite a bit easier than making Eintein-tier contributions to your field.
