So SpaceX wont launch a crewed mission in 2019 by the looks of it, it will be in early/mid 2020.

Scott Manley mentioned that both the Dragon and the Starliner use liquid fueled engines for the emergency engines instead of solid fueled ones like on the Soyuz. Why the choice for liquid fueled VS solid fueled? Higher thrust ratings?

Hi /sci/.

I've been wondering about something lately, how fast will the Dragon 2 and CST-100 capsules reach the ISS? The Soyuz capsule reaches it in 6 hours and the latest Progress cargo capsule reached it in 3 hours and 40 minutes.

Previously, it took up to 2 full DAYS with the Soyuz and the Progress but what about the Dragon 2 and CST-100?

because slav shit is best shit. soyuz was designed in the 60's and it's more advanced than s modern cutting edge spacecraft. the computational power available to spacex engineers is a gazillion times more (another academic term) than that available to the soviet designers. something doesn't add up

The Soyuz, duh, cos it's the only thing that can actually fly people to the ISS at the moment.

So /sci/, what are your suggestions for a math-illiterate guy who wants to learn more math? I stopped taking math courses in high school with Pre-Calc, and that was five years ago. I've managed to retain a decent part of it though.

Pic quasi-unrelated.
