Who does a doctor at an outpatient work for? It's all a bit confusing, it sounds like corporations aren't allowed to own outpatient clinics (Except in some states?) so do all doctors just own their own practices?
I'm only talking about the USA.

In reality, we don't know. Some of them are harmful. Most of them are uncertain. Whenever this debate comes up, people forget that part of the reason plastic is such an attractive material is because it's barely bioactive. If it was interacting with every hormone it came across, it would break down almost instantly as soon as it got exposed to ocean bacteria.
I do believe it interacts with hormones. I absolutely believe that. But I feel the effects that's attributed to are exaggerated by a fog of uncertainty. For instance, you'll regularly see people argue the reason sperm counts have lowered is because of microplastics, but they'll completely ignore that masturbation has exploded in popularity in countries where sperm diagnostics are performed.
We should be working to reduce the number of microplastics circulating under the assumption that they are harmful, and for that reason I recommend people donate plasma if your physician recommends it. But in reality, in the question of "Are they seriously harmful?" The answer isn't there yet.
