People who think that intelligence is not determined by genetics tend to do better in academia due to confidence and self esteem.

Who cares, just give it your best shot. Fuck the stereotypes. The genetic differences within the species can't stop that which is the same for all of us - your mighty human brain, which never stops developing at any point in your life. Don't believe in yourself. Believe in me, who believes in you.

WHO THE HELL DO THEY THINK YOU ARE!?

The explanations at that point of the series doesn't matter, as it's implied that the technologies they are using are well beyond what we even have the knowledge to comprehend yet (probability seeking missiles, etc). One thing did stick out to me, though was that all the planets across the universe. This meant that the fight was being purposely broadcast, because light wouldn't normally reach them that fast, and even if they are bigger than galaxies, they are still so far away they would be specs of light at best.
Anyway, physics don't matter at that part of the series, psuedophysics covers most of the rest of it, and it's a fuckawesome way to watch some cool themes (a few astronomy ones going on) that I found interesting.
