Hey /sci/, I'm 18 and trying to decide which of these two options to major in.

I'm leaning towards CS but I'm concerned that the jobs will be outsourced to pajeets in India and my degree will be worthless by the time I graduate in 4 years. It's apparently much harder to outsource engineering jobs because they need to be accredited in America.

So which of these two fields have better future career prospects and what should I major in?

Where are you studying lads?
>what career?

>a priori – generally used as a synonym for “pre-specified” in statistics.
>alpha – the likelihood of making a type I error, or rejecting the null hypothesis when it is true
>beta – the likelihood of making a type II error, or incorrectly concluding the null hypothesis is correct
>deductive reasoning – using the rules of logic to form inferences with certain conclusions.
>inductive reasoning – find patterns in empirical data. any inference where the premise is giving us some evidence of truth, resulting in a probabilistic inference
>null hypothesis – the hypothesis we seek to invalidate with an experiment, a reductio ad absurdum technique
>post hoc analysis – An after-the-fact analysis of data which is hypothesis-generating ONLY. “Shooting an arrow and painting the bullseye after”.
>type I error: rejecting a true null-hypothesis
>type II error: failure to reject a false null hypothesis

You should not post on /sci/ unless the above is facile and simple to you. Statistics is the lens with which we see the modern data-driven world. Go back to school and actually learn something, if you have to. The above are trivially basic–we don’t go into Bayes vs frequentist, ANOVA, actual math of a statistical test, stratification methods, parameterization, multiplicity correction techniques, LOCF/BOCF and missing data and other still simple topics.

Pychosis is very real. I had gone on a molly and shroom binge for a week. After I had a pychotic episode.
>hearing voices
>thinking I'm dead
>Extreme paranoia
>visualizations that are so real that you question if this is real
>mania
I was diagnosed as Bipolar with psychotic symptoms (apparently the drugs activated my illness and induced mania). However, psychiatry is as pseudo as it gets. If anyone knows why you behave the way you do it would be a nuero scientist or close friends and family who know your life history. Also, If someone is crazy and they are not harming themselves or you, people should fuck off and let them get a grasp on reality in an open field or something. I've been quite literally insane before, and your pattern recognition remains but your reasoning along with your sense of time goes. Imagine feeling so detached that you can't recognize your thoughts as your own and remain convinced this is just a dream. You simply need time to rest, your brain is on the fritz.

Let P be a person. Then ∂P, where ∂ is the topological boundary operator, is a closed surface whose interior is precisely P. Let j be a field on [math]\mathbb{R}^3[/math] denoting the flux density of fucks. Then the surface integral of j dotted with the normal vector over ∂P gives the total flux of fucks out of P, that is, the amount of fucks given by P. Applying the divergence theorem shows that this surface integral is precisely equal to the net generation of fucks within P minus the rate of change of fucks within P. So long as the rate of change of fucks exceeds the net generation of fucks within P, the total flux of fucks given by P will be negative.
