The electricity itself is worth thousands of trillions of dollars per year in the USA, alone.

Coca-Cola is a trade secret & is still going strong a century later.

Patents will only result in China ripping you off.
Non-Disclosure-Agreements are useless unless you can legally prove that co-incidental similar design on the other side of the planet is directly connected with the company you trusted with your blueprints.
