In space travel, we need to achieve very high speeds in order to get to other planets in reasonable amounts of time. So far, we see the speed of light as the fastest possible speed.

But often we neglect what happens next. How do we slow down from such incredible velocities?

/sci/, I was doing some research into this gun debate babble, and I put together a collection of scholarly articles regarding the issue. I often used wikipedia to find these. But I noticed a lot of the citations come from professors and researchers who tend to show somewhat of a bias in their research. Regardless, they often tend to put citations to a multitude of other articles within their articles.

Question is, when do stop following the citations? Is there an assumed certainty when you use a citation in a scholarly article?

Hey /sci/. I was wondering that perhaps a factor in intelligence and learning lies is the individual's learned language. Perhaps is it easier to solve a problem when Houghton about in Chinese than when thought about in Spanish? Or perhaps even how a problem is displayed and the reader analyzes it with his language.

Thoughts?

So /sci/.

I got 3 choices: Emory, uga, ucsd.
Where should I go? The only catch with emory is that I have to attend a 2 year offcampus subsidiary liberal artsy college of emory if I do go.
