Terraforming and planetary life are a meme. Space habitats are the true home for humanity. Dismantling the planets would offer us more material, space and energy then to live on the surface of a ball.
Then there is of course the notion that future humanity won`t need an atmosphere, food or biosphere but only energy to power its posthuman self.

>Is interstellar travel possible?
Yes
>Can humanity ever send humans to other stars?
Yes, but it will be easier to send posthumans.

It`s gonna be a bunch of transhumans/posthumans overseeing robots mining asteroids, gas planets and moons while space factories, space laboratories and space habitats will also be built by various groups, this process will be continuted until we begin star lifting enough material to really start building megastructures necessary for exotic engineering.

>Humans will never live in space and if they did live in space, it would be worse than prison.
Define human and do not forget O`Neil cylinders or other space habitats. Terraforming will not be a thing in the next millenia but posthumanity will spread out across the entire solar system and even beyond as immortal beings can accept travel time of several thousand years or more.
