What do you guys think of "biohacking" one's brain to be wired for happiness/perpetual pleasure?

Overriding hedonic adaptation, circumventing the mechanical response of the brain to suppress the release of favorable neurotransmitters when they are in abundance, and unlocking a mood/state of mind that is incessantly positive and mirthful-I'm sure someone has found a way to do at least some of these things.

I've been a bit anhedonic lately; nothing is enjoyable, etc.

The human body is cruel. Cruel in that it makes joy fleeting on purpose. By chasing happiness one's selfish genes move closer and closer to prolonging their lifespans through reproduction. So that they themselves may live forever-all with the promise that you might, maybe, have some fun along the way. But they're such a tease.

Any diet tips, supplementation, cognitive tweaking, etc that lends itself to an unbreakable state of happiness? Something that will put these self-serving genes into submission? I am a sentient creature and I have no intention of living like a dog, a creature bound to the beck and call of his master. I don't want to be fetched a bone whenever I do something "good"-I want to be the bone, I, myself, am my own source of happiness.

Question: How long would it take to magnetize a 10cm cube of iron in the magnetic field of an industrial sized electromagnet, enough so that the iron could be detectable with a gauss-meter?

Also, would this be a good idea to separate iron and copper blocks of same size?

Picture probably unrelated
