It has to do with the host of the show knowing where the car vs. the goats are.

If you pick door A, which has a goat, and the rules of the game state that the host will then reveal another door, we know that the host will not reveal the door with the car behind it.

He is forced to reveal the other goat door. Does that make sense? So if you keep your door, you retain your 33% chance (if you don't switch). But because out of the other two doors, one of them are now known to be incorrect, it looks like this

Door A + Door B = 66% (switching a door)
Door C = 33%

Basically, the host is giving you a 2 for 1 deal. You're picking the wrong door he revealed AND the other door, which is 2/3 of the doors.
