Every atom in our body has once been inside a star far bigger than our sun. Literally the atoms in your right hand maybe from a different star than your left. The Iron running through your veins has caused a star to die, It caused the greatest explosion in the universe after the big bang. The atoms you breath have traveled across the vast emptiness of space.

Then the debris from this supernova came together to form new life in the form of our sun and solar system. From this early debris our plant along with hundreds of ours formed around our young star. The Earth survived a collision with a planet the size and countless small ones before and after. The young Earth produced the first life form and from there came everything, We all came from the same place. Everyone of our ancestors were winners they were the best the species had to offer and they did not give up before they had children. You, me all come from the best of the best. From there on in when we became human we made meaning out of what was a meaningless world. We pushed back the darkness and became gave meaning to life. We have gone to the moon, sent probes to the edge of the solar system, extended our life from 25 years to 75. Even when we die we will become something new. Our atoms will become the air,the earth, another animal or another person.

Now someone explain to me how this is less appealing than a god randomly creating people from dirt then telling them to fight. Why are there people who are afraid of or reject this?
