Science classifies cows as herbivores, but in their daily lives cows consume anything edible within their reach, that includes ground nesting birds, occasional small rodents and large amounts of insects. Cows are not herbivores, they don't know what the word means, like all other animals, cows eat whatever they want from whatever is within reach.
