Many hyper-geniuses are actually fairly modest and likeable people (Think Terry Tao and John von Neumann), either because they're naturally cool or because they're smart enough to realize that you don't make friends by being a cunt about it.

I kinda feel sorry for Jacob Barnett for that reason. No doubt he's smart. Very, very, smart, that is. But your mother turning you into a walking press release (most likely for her own satisfaction - look at the way she injects herself into so many of his photos) and everyone treating him like a god because of it will do him no favors at all - particularly in the maths field, where people like Terry Tao exist and probably don't find his confidence all that charming.

Time will tell what happens. He might come up with the next Green-Tao theorem, or he might be the next Langan. We'll see.

I was iq tested by professionals when i was like 10, the test only went up to 146 and i was 'off the charts'. Didn't realise that i'm technically a genius, cool.
