There are many other worlds with oceans. At least two ocean moons exist in our own solar system.

We must not neglect space, but in our search for life, the most likely location will always be in the oceans of other worlds. That is, after all, where life started on our planet.

And if we ever settle another world like this one we will surely develop its ocean for the same reasons we're developing ours. That's what you do in the later stages of planetary colonization because that's the portion of the planet richest in resources.

We may one day become a species that prefers to dwell in the oceans of various worlds, using spaceships to get between them.
