tfw I went into computer engineering because /sci/ told me that computer science wasn't a good degree. tfw had to do Math up to differential equations and will be doing the physics now. tfw no motivation to self-study physics because of how boring it is. I just want to learn the ins and outs of computers and work on developing new graphics cards.

I'll start:

I'm trying to transfer for college, but I'm not sure which will accept me. I live in California, and I heard that UCs are the most respected to landing a job. My two primaries are UC San Diego and UC Irvine since they are similar in transfer course requirements and they are an hour away from my house at most. I was also thinking of UC Riverside since that's the closest to my house at 40 minutes compared to 60-70 minutes for San Diego and Irvine. However, I need different types of courses compared to the other two.

They want c++ programming instead of Java. San Diego only wants Java. The rest are pretty similar except for CSIS 118B; riverside is the only one that wants that. How respected is UC Riverside for Computer Engineering? Will I be able to land a job?

Mine was Physics. I just didn't understand any of it. I tried my hardest, but I just could not do it. When it came to Math classes, I at least could do it. However, I just was lost with Physics. I quit engineering and just became an accounting major.

Professor drops the lowest test and this will be it. Last three test I got a A, B, B. However, I just didn't get this chapter on series. Most of the homework was easy as fuck, but when it came to the test I know I blew it. Anyway, if I can't do Series/Mclaurin/Taylor/etc does that mean that I have no hope as an Engineer?

Is there really people like this? Why do people care about having a high GPA? I mean, I can understand if you have a 1.5-2.5 GPA, but if you're getting passing grades, does it really matter? You're not getting into an Ivy league college and if you already have more than 4+ Ws then I don't see you getting into UCLA or Berkley. Why do kids subject themselves into this? Only reason why I dropped a class was because I knew I wasn't going to pass the class, but I'd be fine getting a C.

I have absolutely no passion in anything I do. I'm in a community college just going through Math classes and I find that I only plug and chug. I'm currently in Calculus II and I can't even visualize what the hell I'm doing. I mostly just compute the integral and go the next one. I've tried other classes in general education like History and English and I find it boring as fuck. I've tried C++ as a test run and I couldn't do it; Did not help that I was doing Spanish and Pre-Calculus at the time and could not manage my time correctly. I'm 27 years old, and I really can't find anything to find passion in. I look at my peers in my classes who are much younger than I and just in awe at their passion in what they want to do. There's this one girl who has passion in space and talks about theories like the Higgs Boson or whatever it's called. I wish I had that kind of passion in something. What should I do, /sci/? I've only had one job in my life and that was a Mcdonalds job that I couldn't cut in and I quit after a few days. My parents aren't going to survive forever.

That feel when you'll never be able to go back to Elementary School where there were no worries in life.

You know what sucks? I would have at least been fine if I had failed in Maths because I at least knew Math is needed for my major and I would rather fail at something that is needed than something that is just a gen ed requirement. How do you guys do it, /sci/ when your favorite subjects are science and Math?
