In modern psychology as a science, is there any veracity to the idea of phallic symbols, as in guns and swords and cigars being extensions of penises? I know most aspects of Freud have been discredited, but what about this one?

I had a dream where there was this Dream Selector that was available to us. I don't know whether or not I could select my own past dreams or whoever's, though.

But yeah it was different from a virtual reality thing. I mean I activated the thing and I definitely went under and my mind went into that dream.

That's a scary thought, though. Putting somebody to sleep, and having the thing that's attached to your head directly transmit a pre programmed dream into it. It's like, how do we know it didn't have some scary side shit that was programmed into it? You know, and th company who made it re-wired a part of my brain. Fucking future.

But yeah, wouldn't the dream selector, be cool? As a soley dream selecting thing?

How can science help us against the invading low-IQ mudraces and greedy chinks who are ruining white countries?

What is that German word that refers to the phenomena of encountering something recently learned or noticed far more often than coincidence would seem to explain. Please help me. Things like synchronicity, coincidence, Déjà vu, and serendipity are related to it.

Hey /sci/, I'm not necessarily sure if this is the right place to ask this. But why is a degree in Psychology considered worthless? Especially in the range of a P.H.D.? I was actually planning on going into the field of Psychology myself (out of an intense interest in the field), but I've been hearing from various other boards that the degree is worthless. So could someone enlighten me as to why it is worthless, and what I can do to prevent a disastorous future (if that is what the degree truly has in store). As of now, I am only about a year to year and a half into it so it might not be too late to change if it's as bad as everybody says.
