I get the equation. If pressure drops so must the temperature. If you increase the vessel size, the temperature will rise. Math makes sense that way.

But what the fuck is physically GOI g on to cause these temperature swings when dealing with gasses? If I use a bunch of propane on my camper grill, ice forms on the cylinder because it got cold. But why did it get cold? What physically is going on to force the temperature to drop?

Glasses of water dont freeze when you pour them out, why do flow of exiting gasses cause this?

What fields will see the biggest developments in the next decade and what do you think they will be?

Sophomore at a community college here, about to transfer to a local university.

I've come to a roadblock and realization that I lack the knowledge, experience, resources, and guidance to carry out a real research project.

I've come up with a plan where I will treat some THP-1 cells with a certain chemical extract which will bind to a certain receptor to observe its immune and inflammatory responses in a normal cell line, pre-senescence cell line, xra treated (normal and pre-sen) cell lines...

but it stops there, I don't want to just "observe", I want to understand and be able to explain why and what is happening at the molecular level. Can I quantify cytokines like interleukin-6 and interleukin-8 to further explain that the chemical had X effect?
