I have to choose between a class on Numerical Methods vs. Linear Algebra.

What would you pick?

Exam tomorrow,

I'm writing a review paper on the cancer drug camptothecin. It's going pretty well and there's loads of papers and literature on the effectiveness of it's analogs and how it's still pretty good against hypoxic cells with an up regulation of HIF-1, but I can't find anything detailing the actual mechanism it uses to trigger apoptosis.
Anyone know of any books or articles that could help me out?

Good afternoon, /sci/. Come next school year, I'll only be entering 11th grade, and I really don't want to wait until university to begin learning that level of math. I can acknowledge that I really don't know shit about math and science, but I have a well kindled fire inside of me that strives for knowledge. Can anyone point me in the right direction to learning calculus and beyond from the seclusion of my own house? I'll be dumping info pics to keep the thread alive. Thanks.

How do you study, /sci/? After class do you take time to go over your notes and rewrite them? How many nights do you go over them after the first lecture?

/sci/, I ask for a moment of help. I'm not being a lazy faggot here, I actually need direction:

What is the limit as x->-2 of <span class="math">\frac{x+2}{x^3+8}[/spoiler]

Any advice on how to approach this? I've read the section and followed it pretty well, and the examples in the sections involving the limits of rational functions which approach a value undefined in the domain ALL are done by factoring the top or bottom and cancelling so that it's workable.

I can't seem to do that with this and am not sure where to begin. Any help? Thanks!

I was interested in learning theories and psychology recently. Listened to Derren Brown's memory audiobook and some psychology audio. I think that mindmaps are sub-optimal. I think our minds group similar ideas and related memories together. For most people this involves imagery.

Study NLP and ways to learn. Stimulate more senses in learning. Draw images, recite facts, imagine yourself in situations, all increase the fraction of information stored.

Does using your memory more help make it better? As a kid I never took notes and I've always had an easier time remembering things than my peers. All my classmates/teacher would always surprised that I could remember without having a notebook etc
