I'm not really sure what you're doing here. It's very simple, data and common sense indicates that if the infant's lungs aren't yet functional, and it's relying on placental transfusion for gas exchange (oxygen), and you put a clamp on it... you're depriving the infant of oxygen. The rest of it is caused by deprivation of iron stores and therefore inability to manufacture ferritin and hemoglobin.

It's very simple. The umbilical cord is to be left alone until all pulsations have ceased, it lies flat, and has blanched white. Period. Doing otherwise lowers IQ and has an increased rate of post partum hemorrhage.

They're doing it wrong and it has real world damage.

The formation of tornadoes is pretty well understood and can be explained in detail, while consciousness cannot be as easily explained. Spin in a tornado is just pressure and temperature differential in a fluid. It can be replicated in a lab, we can measure the inner systems and mechanics. We cannot do this with consciousness. A better analogy would be quantum mechanics and consciousness, but we might solve consciousness before we solve quantum mechanics.
