Alright /sci/, so my Physics teacher is making us write a parer. The catch is that it can be on ANY topic having to do with Physics. Now, I'm not really scientifically-inclined, so can any of you venerable /sci/entists recommend a kickass super-gnarly topic to write about? It can be anything Physics related. Motherfucking anything.

A bunch of faggots are probably gonna do blackholes, so (as kickass super-gnarly as they are) anything aside from blackholes would be appreciated.

Also more people to design shit. As automation gets better the runs of the product can get smaller because of interchange parts or CAD systems that can easily be programed to produce a variety of parts. The smaller runs can cater to specific consumers or even custom ordered parts. Which thanks to the internet and a shiton of service workers being freed up from the industrial production can be provided.

It might get to the point were you can make a profit by catering to 1,000 production runs that each only contain 100 consumers each at one time.

Also as long as resource extraction is required and someone wants compensation for their efforts in any field you are going to get trade. And if trade is standardized with a some monetary unit it's called capitalism.

Hey sci, I had an idea.
What would happen if you took a quantum particle, like light, or electrons, or whatever... and built 2 consistent streams of them in a loop installed a high speed centrifuges. As you stream the quantum particles through and run the centrifuge, would not anything inside the centrifuge then be subject less to gravity, as well as less variance in our space time? Would this not in effect make time appear to move less slowly for those inside?

What would happen if you did the same thing with 2 hadron colliders on a high-speed centrifuge?

Is this shit gonna make me time travel or jump dimensions or wat.
I gotta fuckin know!

So /int/, today I heard a man say " The universe is like a book, and God is like an author ". This man, was a philosophy professor. I then replied "Who's the editor? How do we know that Yehova and the universe are not the book and Thor is the author?" He then said nothing and looked at me with a baffled look on his face.

Death = nothingness

nothingness = the instant you fall asleep and lose all consciousness

Nothingness is like falling asleep but without dreaming or darkness or any other inanimate concept/object/creation.

OP makes an interesting point. Although I don't accept OP's image, I accept that, at the end of the day, science really is only based on theories and laws (but mostly theories, which aren't always true and are disputed i.e. big bang, abiogenesis etc)

The entire talk is good (explains many concepts, one of my favorite lectures I've ever seen), but at the end he answers a question about dealing with infinity. It's not a complete description and, but maybe the examples will help clarify it.

dude, its impossible to imagine something like that because you have never experienced it

it is nothing

think about it, the reason we have a consciousness is because of electrical signals in the brain, there was no such signals before you where born

on earth there something called terminal velocity, google it

in space well anywhere the famous equation e=mc^2 is the reason, google it too

e is energy, m is mass, c is the speed of light
basically the faster something travels, the more mass it has, and the more mass it has, the more energy is expended trying to accelerate it
