When I lived in London I mistakenly got off at the wrong bus stop. This bus went through Brixton. Any brits on this site know, especially Londoners, what this means. Me being from Scotland I didn't realise the full gravity of the situation.

A cursory glance around the area I was in told me all I needed to know. I had never seen so many darkies in one place. I noticed up ahead the local blacks were having some kind of street party/bongo party. I looked across the other side of the road and there was one police car with two cops in it. They were watching the blacks. I had to get through this street to get to the train station. So, I walk towards the darkies and in my mind I'm thinking don't make eye contact, no wait, make eye contact, show no fear. I'm from a city where you can go months literally without seeing one black. So this is all new to me. I suppose I felt like a jungle explorer of old. Anyway, I begin to walk among them and I look at them in the eye, they didn't know what to make of me. The thump thump of their "music" was bad enough ringing in my ears. I get to the middle of the crowd and I was still looking them in the eyes, and thinking, this is MY country, I have every right to walk here.

I am nearly through the crowd and this little niglet walks in front of me and I knock it down by accident. I thought SHIT this isn't good. I waited on the attack to come it didn't. I got to the train station and hauled arse out of there. Intelligence will nearly always win out, our higher brain capacity and boldness is what sets us above the savage. I could feel the hatred in that crowd, here was the white man, one man, walking through the darkness alone. I have more experiences which I will post now and again. I spoke to many older Londoners and they told me how it was in better days, before the madness. One told me the blacks started rioting near where he lived and wrecked their own neighbourhoods.

Hello /sci/, I need some advice.

I am en econ honours dude. I hope to also get a bachelor's in math at the time of graduating. I'm going into my third year. Currently I am taking calculus IV and mathematical statistics I (it is the spring short term, 2 classes is more than a full course load) and next semester, summer i will take LA II and mathematical statistics II. I will take analysis I in the fall, as well as some third year econometrics and macroeconomics (already finished my third year microeconomics).

But for my degree requirements, I need to take two FINE ARTS classes. Which is absolutely fucking ridiculous. In my second year, I took two classes in Chinese for my language requirements.

Anyways, for these two fine arts classes I need to take, how the fuck can I go about NOT taking them? I would much much much prefer to take so many other things, from mathematical finance, to a physics/astronomy class, to computer science. I have never taken any classes of this type, but I think that any of those would be much more beneficial to me than a shitty fine arts class. I have absolutely no interest in taking fine arts and it would just be a waste of my time and provide me with no benefits at all. I have an honours advisor, but i don't know if that is who I should approach about it.

Do you think it's worth a shot to try and make them let me replace my FA classes with some further math, physics, or computing? Will this work? I go to a good university, so I don't know if that makes this more or less likely of happening.

My uni unfortunately considers economics an arts degree, which is fine. You can do math/econ and have it be a BSc but I want it to say honours on my degree....

How the fuck can you get out of taking bullshit required courses that are actually not going to help you at all in life? Oh and if i do need to take the classes, they will be "art history".... Any other recommendations for FA classes?

inb4 tl;dr holy shit that was along post

I constantly feel bad about how much of a worthless human being I am and about how stupid I am. I have a wonderful girlfriend that I've been going out for about 5 years with and she keeps telling me that I'm smart but I'm not convinced myself.

Am I stupid, /sci/?

Picture related, how I feel 24/7.

I have that problem, too. I'm a physics major, a bookish type and am a bit socially awkward. The other day a visitor to my uni stopped me and asked me for directions. The words that came out of my mouth just made no sense, and they looked at me like I was some sort of autistic retard. The worst part was, when they said thank you to me, I kind of fumbled and said "thank you" back to them. Why did I say thank you to them? Why? Why? Why? Facepalm, facepalm, facepalm. I have this tick where I repeat what people say sometimes. It's fucking horrible. At least I'm good at math.

Professor says 89.8% will not round up to 90% (which in this course would be an A). I know he's just doing his job, so I don't really blame him. He says that the only way is to find mistakes in quizzes/exams or see if I deserved partial credit.

Anybody dealt with this shit before? What other ways have you guys figured out how to get shit rounded up. This is fucking rage-worthy.

Got into a few colleges in the Top 30, but can only afford a shit-tier cheap state school. (Too middle class/not smart enough to have gotten scholarships.)

What would be my chances of (after undergrad of course) getting into a good grad or medical school? Assuming I get good grades, entrance tests, etc., all else being equal--how much would my shit-tier status affect my future grad school admissions?

MFW this concept would work in a defined space where energy is in a closed enviroment....

Energy is captured in singularities where it is removed from the system.

The system is ever exspanding, the bounds of the universe are growing. Energy will eventually become so dispersed to the point nothing meaningful can be said to occur due to >>2831130 and because of the vast distances no particales will interact with each other ever again and the universe comes to a sliding halt where you just keep cutting the proverbial string in half and no particles change their states except by moving "out" towards newly expanded space. Time stops, becoming infinitely fast, the universe has "ended".
